Ask what they want help with

Start with the resident’s own priorities. Explain who you would like to contact and ask their permission before sharing their details or arranging access. A simple list of the affected rooms and what is difficult to use is enough to start.

Keep the enquiry focused on the repair. There is no need to send medical records, financial documents or unrelated personal information. Say whether the resident wants to speak directly with Wojciech or would prefer you to coordinate the discussion.

  • Give the postcode and a short description of each task.
  • Identify the person who will agree the work and costs.
  • Mention practical access needs or a preferred time to talk.
  • Photographs are optional; take them only with the resident’s permission.

Discuss reduced rates and community help

Older residents can ask for an individually agreed reduced labour price. There is no fixed senior tariff, and the standard online hourly estimate is not a senior-support quotation. The task, location and likely time are discussed first.

For selected small repairs, Wojciech may volunteer his labour when his availability and capacity allow. This is assessed individually. Materials, parts and any travel costs remain separate unless explicitly included. Ask what support is possible before assuming the whole job will be free.

Agree the visit with the resident

Confirm the work, the labour price and any other costs before booking. If a relative or neighbour is paying, make that arrangement clear. Tell us who will be present and how access will be provided; share private access details directly rather than in public posts.

If the home is rented or the job involves a shared part of the building, identify the landlord or managing agent who needs to authorise it. A family enquiry does not replace that permission.

Keep a clear record of the agreed help

Keep the agreed task list and costs so the resident and their contact know what to expect. Additional work needs a further discussion. For a routine enquiry, call 07438 821082 or send Wojciech a WhatsApp message with the postcode and the problem.
