Separate the visible gap from the water problem
Sealant condition and the source of a leak need separate assessment. Mention whether you have only noticed a gap or whether water is also escaping. If there is staining in another room or in a flat below, include that information.
When water is causing damage, stop using the affected bath or shower and seek prompt help. Do not keep running it to recreate the leak for a photograph. Contact the landlord or managing agent if another property or a communal area may be affected.
Useful photos for a bathroom enquiry
Take a wider photo showing the bath, shower tray or enclosure, then a close-up of the gap or damaged edge. Include the visible surrounding tiles and any existing staining. Photos should show accessible surfaces; there is no need to remove a bath panel or open the floor.
- Which edge or corner is affected?
- Does the problem appear only after bathing or showering?
- Have tiles, grout or the surrounding surface also changed?
- Has the area been repaired before, and what was done?
Explain the scope you want reviewed
Tell us whether you want a local repair, a review of several bathroom maintenance issues, or a larger refurbishment. Include any relevant access restrictions and whether this is the only bathroom at the property.
An assessment may be needed before the repair scope is clear. If work involves materials that need time before the bath or shower can be used again, the product instructions and practical arrangements need to be considered when scheduling.
Small repairs and larger bathrooms use different quotes
Send bathroom maintenance enquiries through WMB Fix with your postcode, description and photos. Choose Kitchens & bathrooms and describe the specific repair. For a new bathroom, wet room or wider renovation, use Larger project so it can be quoted individually.
We serve South Norwood, Croydon and nearby areas. Labour, materials and the agreed scope are confirmed before work is arranged.
